Most of us have heard the term "weight loss" in terms of diet and fitness. We also know that weight has a great impact on most people's health. According to some research, one-third and one-fourth of adults in America are obese.
The definition of obesity is when a person becomes overweight. Overweight means that a person's body mass index (BMI) is higher than normal, but if an individual were considered to be obese, then they would have a BMI that is more than 30. This would mean that their metabolism is impaired because the fat cells can not be broken down easily. It might also lead to a serious condition called type 2 diabetes. Obesity was thought to be something that happened only to females, but men can get involved in it even though they are not really overweight. One example is if you have a female parent and your son doesn't have any female relatives, then he may become obese. It is a fact that obesity is something that women can get involved in. An article by Dr. Julia Goldin is very useful for someone looking at becoming obese. It talks about several ways of getting to be fat which includes the use of steroids, consuming fatty foods, using energy drinks, and overusing sugar to gain weight. In this post, I will discuss how being obese can go wrong and how this can lead to many problems like high blood pressure, heart disease, type diabetes, etc.
When you got very fat, it means that you have a lot of hormones that can cause inflammation. For example, testosterone is a hormone which helps increase muscle mass and muscle tissue. When testosterone gets in your body, it can make your body to store as much as possible. The excess of testosterone can also reduce the production of estrogen, and this can lead to reproductive issues. Another factor that can cause obesity is insulin resistance. This can happen even if your mother or grandmother had diabetes before. Insulin resistance is when the insulin level in your bloodstream decreases which could lead to a lot of issues. Type 1 diabetes is another significant reason why you should watch out for your type 2 diabetes. A lot of children who had their mothers had the same issue of insulin resistance. These children tend to have certain types of medical problems like a number of blood vessels narrowing and blood clots that would cause severe shortness of breath. They tend to be very sensitive to cold as well. If we talk about what we do have control over, our food can help us to lose weight and stay slim. Some experts say we should try eating healthy and that can reduce the chance of having these hormonal imbalances. So, it is up to each individual to create healthy habits and to start learning to love the right foods.
The next thing you need to do is learn how to do things without making excuses for yourself. No matter where you live, no man can tell that they want to cheat and lie to themselves. You need to have self-control, self-love, and self-respect. That way, you will find something that works for you. I think there is a big difference between being skinny versus being overweight. Having a size six waist is just as beautiful as a flat chest, but having a weight of 100 pounds will mean that nothing will look good on you. There is a massive difference between looking skinny and looking overweight. Do you ever wonder why? Well, yes, it is because we all want to appear skinny and slim. However, the other side of the spectrum is people that are overweight. Being overweight is like wearing three different dresses. Your arms look tiny, your legs look bulky, the stomach looks huge, your face looks old and tired. People need to understand that you should want to be skinny and you shouldn't be ashamed about yourself. What's the alternative? It is nice to have a smaller waistline, however, it isn't worth it when you will wake up with a nasty hangover, or even a little bit of fatigue by the time you will go home. All you have to do is look back at your night out with that poor judgment of yours. Many people who just got a little too much time in the gym, end up doing squats instead of lunges or push ups
. Why its so? Because they believe that those exercises are hard, but they are actually easy. Also, they think that going to the gym twice a day is going to give them more physical endurance. Those two rules do NOT apply to you. So, don't be embarrassed to go to the gym once in a while, even if it is for five minutes, because you really can find something better for your body.
